Shop owners are urged to be aware of fake £50 notes after two incidents in Wotton-under-Edge and Berkeley.
The first incident happened at the Post Office in Kingswood yesterday (Tuesday 17 January). Two men bought two low value items, a magazine and a chocolate bar, before paying with a counterfeit £50 note. The shop worker gave them their change before releasing the note was fake.
