A burglar could not believe his luck when he was given nine months in jail after he broke into a newsagent's and stole lottery cards.

More than 1,500 images of child abuse were found on a man's computer, a court heard.
Nigel Hilary Glover admitted 11 charges relating to downloading child and animal pornography on the internet, when he appeared before Stroud Magistrates' Court.
Graham Dono, prosecuting, said 38 category A - the most serious - images were found on his computer.

Gloucester Crown Court heard Jesamine Hearsum of Mosley Road in Cashes Green, Stroud, locked the woman up and told her she was 'not going anywhere' before she threatened her with a knife.
