POLICE are continuing their hunt for two men after a defenceless 96-year-old woman was subjected to a brutal raid in her Tuffley home.

Kingsway cocaine courier jailed at Gloucester Crown Court
Convicted drugs dealer, Darren Davies, said he just acting as a courier when he was found in possession of £27,000 of cocaine.
Gloucester Crown Court heard the 29-year-old of Chivenor Way in Kingsway was out of prison on licence from a seven year sentence, when he was found with the drugs on January 22, this year.
Davies said he was merely acting as a courier of almost half a kilo of cocaine after racking up a drugs debt.

A man was threatened with a crowbar in Gloucester during a robbery in the city yesterday (Sunday April 13).
It happened at about 9pm at the end of Lysons Avenue, close to Tesco.

A trusted employee who stole more than £10,000 off his boss before selling it on eBay under the username 'mybossisanumpty' has escaped jail.
Kevin Smith took specialist tools and equipment from Norman Precision in Stonehouse before the company hired a private detective to catch him.

UNREPORTED shoplifting is costing retailers millions as businesses draft in new anti-theft measures for Gloucester.
The latest British Retail Consortium survey found underreporting of retail crime is a "significant challenge" and has been blamed on a lack of confidence in police.

POLICE want to talk to an elderly woman in connection with the theft of two crystal decanters from a charity shop in Kendrick Street, Stroud in February.
The items, valued at £60, were taken at noon on Monday, February 24. She is described as white and 60 to 70-years-old. She was wearing a threequarter length raincoat and was pushing a square shopping trolley.

A dog walker told police she was walking her English Pointers along King Charles Lane in Slad when she lost sight of them around a bend.
One began to bark and a vehicle was heard with its engine running. She told police that the barking became muffled and as the vehicle was heard to drive off the barking got quieter as if the dog was in the vehicle.
