Thieves broke into a fish and chip shop in Newent last night and stole hundreds of pounds.Staff at The Tudor Fish and Chip Shop, in Broad Street, found money had been taken from the shop's tills and safe, the CCTV recording box was missing and the shop's security cameras had been tampered with. The thieves also broke three windows and damaged the back door of the shop as they broke in, as well as damaged the front of the safe.
