Woken by a violent and abusive young man in the dead of night, a Stroud family has warned others that it could happen to them.
The victims believe the attacker in his early 20s may have been high on illegal drugs, as he tried to force his way in to their home, then assaulted one of them in the garden.
Police were called to the Uplands home but the man has not been traced.
