A 29-year-old from Stonehouse has admitted causing grievous bodily harm during an attack in the town.
Luke John Smith, of Boakes Drive, pleaded guilty to wounding David Long without intent on May 29.
He will return to the same, Gloucester Crown Court, on a date to be fixed for sentencing.
