A man wielding a hammer tried to rob a Subway sandwich shop in Brockworth last night.
Police said he walked into the sandwich shop/restaurant on Whittle Way at around 8.10pm.
He was carrying a hammer and threatened a member of staff, demanding that he hand over cash from the till.
The member of staff refused and the offender walked out of the building in the direction of Ermin Street.
The offender was described as a white man, aged between 25 and 30-years-old, of slim build, around 5ft 9"...
